BIA UK Bioscience Forum, County Hall, Westminster – Thursday 17 October 2019
There will be a plenary session showcasing the ATAC programme through an apprentice panel, chaired by Kate Barclay, ATAC Project Team and Stephen Ward, Chief Manufacturing Officer, CGT Catapult.
Future Skills for UK BioIndustry
Maintaining the strength and international competitiveness of the UK is fundamental to a thriving BioIndustry as well as ensuring that the sector has access to a pool of talented people with the skills for business now and the future. The BIA is influencing policy makers to maintain key focus on skills within Life Science Industrial Strategy and connecting UK BioIndustry on talent development with a number of approaches for new entrants as well as upskilling existing staff including a focus on apprenticeships and digital skills. In this session you will hear of a wide range opportunities being delivered including apprentices on the ISCF funded Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) programme, established by the CGT Catapult and MMIP to deliver a national advanced therapies apprenticeship programme.
